a few announcements to make.


1. BBQ

We'll be going there early for maybe cycling/roller-blading/whatever.

For those who wish to join the fun:
Time: 11am
Meeting place: Bedok MRT control station
Pls be PUNCTUAL. We'll wait the most for about 15mins(call to find us if you are joining but late).

For those who are not joining the fun session:
Time: Ard 5pm
Venue: East Coast Park, Pit 28, Area C (near mac)
Can bring your bf/gf/friends along, but $3 per head ;).


2. Shin Forearm Guard

Personal guards are strongly advised to be purchased for all Taekwondo practitioners, so as to protect both parties during sparring and training sessions. WTF approved guards are also compulsory for all STF tournaments.

Hence, NPTKD is making an offer for our club members ONLY. 10% discount on all guards.

We will make the purchase for you. If you wanted to buy on your own, feel free to do so. But note that the Liang Seng branch at Jurong Point has moved out. The nearest place to purchase is all the way down at Marina Square.

Both have strips that go around your forearm and shin.

Microlite - Outer material : Ultra light w/ breathable covering(white)
Bee Siang's type.
Size: XS to L
Adjustable with velcro.
Microlight is the lightest guard of all(the white colour that I'm using). But a bit difficult to wear as it something like the elastic type.

Elastic are the ones which the club are providing for sparring(but it is now very loose and SMELLY). Slip-on type, like wearing your socks. Not very durable and gets dirty very easily.

We will bring down our individual guards for you to try for your sizes the next training.
Pls make your order by next training, 12th October 2006, with your money along. No more order will be entertained after that day.


3. Training Fee

New semester is coming, so is the time for collection of training fee:). Pls submit training fee of $40 to Angie by 2nd November 2006. All of you can start paying already. Pls cooperate with us, as my treasurer does not wish to chase people for money. Thanks a million.



I know it is quite taxing for most of you for forking out a lot of money, esp for this 2 months. But however, some things like guards are necessary when safety is concern. yup.
