Our Cheer

"Hoh ah! Swee ah! Pak Buey Tohh ah!" (in Hokkien)

Translated to Mandarain:  好啊!美啊!打不倒啊!

This was a cheer passed down by our Seniors and we will always cheer it after our training and of course, during competitions!

i would like to share a bit of my story and my 2 cents' worth to all of you

an extraction from my bloggy entry:

[being a fighter or rather.. training in tkd is not at all easy.. endurance is the key. if you wan to be good, don't complain. do watever that you are told. we are not any 诈骗集团, will cheat your money or watsoever. the stuff that we told you all to practise, there'll sure be very good reason for it.

"wat doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." - heard from almost everywhere..

reflecting myself back to the past, to get the skill that i have now(tho still lousy la..) is not easy. i have been thru tough and tougher trainings, 4 times a week. until my tkd pants n top are wet(im not a person who will sweat easily), stagger home, bruised, desperately grasping for breath during training. been trash by ppl be4, and, alot of times. -.- ya.. somehow i didn't give up, i also don't know why.

im glad that i've made some improvement over 1 year. from a noob that don't even know turning kick.]

most of you, or rather juniors have not been thru this type of stamina training. what we did in the past is only basics. and no doubt, slack training.

what i want to say is, endure, even if you hurt your foot(if its nothing serious) or watever(i don't mean that u can rest only when u can't even walk), juz kick a little lighter will do. if you don't like to see yourself as lousy, slow. don't like ppl to trash you, instead you would want to be the one who will dominate the ring, controlling the match.

not happy when ppl say that you are lousy? train up! muz be self-motivated. however, don't be disheartened if you can't kick well, becuz time can prove everything(of cuz muz put in effort).

peepz, pls try to encourage your partner while kicking. if he/she has done a good kick, praise(dun b too stingy). if you see him/her cannot tahan already, encourage. small little things like that can make the training more meaningfull and lively(altho many r dying.. haha). i don't blame anyone who didn't shout during the kicking session, i understand. but holders/partners/friends, you can do your part by counting and encouraging them.

We kick together, encourage each other, improve together. this is what i would want to see for the future trainings. we are not individuals, but ONE.

For those who just simply want to get a black belt and juz train on your pattern. i've got nothing to say. and if you want to be a bb with no skills, go ahead. but since all of you already join tkd, make the best out of it. make sure you learn something, don't waste your 3 years.
